Lt-Col.William Gordon Mackenzie,Resident of Malacca,Malaysia from(1826)only.He was born on 9 May 1785 in New Greyfriars parish,Edinburgh.His parents was Henry Mackenzie,Esq,attorney in the Scottish Exchequer & Penuel Grant.He arrived at Calcutta in 1801.He was third Assistant to the Resident of Amoyna,Indonesia from (1812-1817).He was appointed Second Assistant to the Resident of Fort Marlborough,Bencoolen,Indonesia.He married to Sarah Johanna van Schoor.He leave Singapore for Cape of Good Hope until his retirement in 19 Sept 1840.He died in 20 July 1842.His issue -
